I don’t care if different people do or don’t post it multiple times across multiple days. I already get to see some cross community duplication, so someone posting because they are late to the game gets lost in the noise.

It isn’t like a discussion can only happen one time and if people miss it then they are out of luck. If someone posts late and nobody wants to engage the repost will fade off into obscurity.

Probably counterstrike back in the day, possibly battlefield 2 including the Project Reality mod. That was back when gametime wasn’t really tracked and I had a lot more spare time Possibly WoW, but I only played for a couple of years or less and for a few hours a day at most.

Currently my highest is Forza Horison 5 with like 1200 hours. Have a few others with 500+ hours although a few are inflated at least 100+ hours because the game locked up on closing and counted as played for several days multiple times.

If not, they most likely missed the first one. I doubt most people check whether something that looks new to them has already been posted.

But, perhaps the difference is generational. I haven’t spoken to very many people about this, but what I have noticed is a shift over time from menus to feeds on the internet. Forums are dying. Users don’t want to scroll search results, they want an AI to just give them the answer. And the difference seems to be generational. Perhaps informed by our early experiences with online platforms. It certainly cannot be an absolute distinction, but a correlation seems evident from the state of the world.

Extrapolates a distinction between number of questions and answer based on age from a tiny data set, acknowleeges large scale changes over time that applies to all ages, offhandedly mentions the actual reason (early experiences with the internet), then goes back to random speculation.

What a terribly incoherent article. Capitalizing ‘Mine’ made it a struggle. Why didn’t they capitalize ‘ours’ for consistency? If I was tha author I would assume it was because of generational self centeredness or something, because everything needs to be generational conflict!

Comment ratio is not an indication of whether someone is online, just whether they feel the need to comment a lot. I tend to spend the same amount of time reading whether I’m commenting or not.

The military and the secret service gave oaths the the constitution, not DOJ policy. In a functioning democracy they would force the president to surrender and to show up to court.

He is making a pragmatic decision that any reasonable lawyer would make.

DOJ policy is to drop a case like this. If he ignored policy then he would be fired by February before the case would even proceed. So no matter what he does, the case is dead and at least he got to write some words down. Basically the same as the three resonable justices on SCOTUS who have no power to do anything beyond write dissenting opinions that might matter sometime in the future.

It sucks, but Republicans have completed their coup from within the US government.

The not prosecuting a sitting president is a shitty policy written to avoid baseless lawsuits and applied to help fascists rise to power.

‘Long running argument’ is not referring to the one encounter when she murdered her neighbor, but the ongoing conflict across a long period of time like months or years.

I’d say that occasionally I have that ‘horniness is annoying’ although that tends to be when alone or frustrated because my partner is unavailable and I don’t want to do it solo at that time. If you are comparing a single country in Europe to the US the comparison should be at the state level.

Mississippi is the lowest state and close to 70 years in 2020. So if the comparison is the lowest US state to highest European state then you get a gap that is close to 15 depending on what year’s data is being compared.

A better comparison would be all of the US to all of Europe since we vary so much from state to state just like Europe varies from country to country.
